Lista systems are built with the principles of Lean Manufacturing in mind. We can help reduce areas of waste. For example, small parts can be stored and easily accessed in a drawer cabinet, a sliding cabinet offers maximum storage space on a minimum floor space, and our storage systems can be installed in trailers, vans and containers turning them into mobile workstations.
The designing of a production area, workshop, or a high-rise shelving system demands careful planning, implementation and budget control. As a long-term investment, workspace and storage systems need to be practical, robust and to have the flexibility to be adapted as requirements change. With this in mind Lista have developed a modular product range, which can be combined and added to in a variety of ways. By consulting us at the early stages of the project we can help provide solutions to your requirements by taking into consideration operating processes, material flow ensuring shorter travel distances, quick access and optimum logistics. Our fully trained staff will be able to help implement installations under the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
Space saving
Most conventional shelving systems hold more fresh air than they do stored items. This is because items are easier to see and pick if they are on the front of the shelf. Consequently, this is where they tend to be located, and the rear of the shelf is unused.
With drawers or sliding shelves, they are pulled towards the user, so every part is easily visible and accessible. Lista’s full range of drawer heights and adjustable shelf positions means no vertical space is wasted achieving almost 100% space ultilisation.
Time is money
When items are allocated an individual and identifiable location, retrieval is made easier. A condensed and organised stores area can also mean reduced travel times and faster pick rates.
This also applies to items and tools critical to production as having the right tools at the right time and place makes all the difference.
Secure and restricted access systems
Misplaced items, missing tools and stock shortages can happen and this often occurs when items are needed most. This leads to annoyance, additional cost, loss of time and efficiency.
As a solution to this, Lista have developed locking systems which depending on the customer’s requirements can be controllable by radio transmitter, access control systems or inventory control software.
60 years at the forefront
Lista pioneer Alfred Lienhard founded the company and soon had an international breakthrough with his drawer cabinet system in the early 1950s. To date, more than 100,000 companies all over the world have been equipped with several millions of Lista workstation systems. The group with its headquarter in Erlen/Switzerland has more than 800 employees worldwide, production locations in Switzerland, Germany and the USA and is represented in more than 40 countries.
Lista has extensive international experience in material and storage logistics. Working in conjunction with Lista during the planning stage of a project will ensure that your workspace and storage space will be equipped to suit your needs. Lista is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified.
